Following a period of substantial growth during 2021, which saw turnover double, and the addition of 8 new subscription clients, Clekt have appointed Nigel Illingworth as Chief Technology Officer. Nigel will be responsible for shaping the ongoing development of Clekt’s engineering teams and the solutions portfolio.

Clekt started business in April 2020 and is now working with prestigious companies including Hotel Chocolat, Jigsaw, Crew Clothing, Thought Clothing, and a very well-known Premiership Football Club.  Annual recurring revenues have grown during 2021 by 400%, and in addition, the company was shortlisted in three categories at the recent Retail Technology Innovation Hub Awards.

Nigel Illingworth, who was co-founder at Retail Assist says of his appointment, “I’m excited to join such a progressive company that is demonstrating impressive growth. The client list includes some fantastic brands.  Our ‘Enterprise Data Hub’ solution enables businesses to find insights that have a meaningful impact and can drive significant business growth.  Data is the most valuable asset a company has, and the solutions we are developing will enable its true value to be maximised”.

Andy Tudor, Clekt, CEO and co-founder continued, “We’re delighted to have such a big name in technology join us at Clekt, which demonstrates the rapid progress we’ve made and bolsters our capability for the future. We have some exciting product developments and client projects in the pipeline, so it’s great to have Nigel on board to continue our innovative approach and to support our data driven client community to maximise business value from their partnership with Clekt”.

Ian Cray, the Co-Founder and former CTO of Clekt continues to work with the board in an advisory capacity whilst spending time in Indonesia supporting the data needs of local charity projects.
