With nearly 12,000 attendees and over 400 individual sessions, the scale of the Summit represents Snowflake’s ambition to mobilise the World’s data. From a Clekt perspective the event further reinforced our decision to partner with Snowflake and our ambition to help our Customers drive commercial value from their data with the Snowflake platform at the heart of the solutions we deliver.
The big announcement from Snowflake was their partnership with Nvidia, announced by Frank Slootman and Jensen Huang to enable companies to build generative AI Applications on top of their Snowflake data. There has been a lot of talk about AI, but real commercial value will be driven for businesses when they are using AI on their own data to create their own IP to generate competitive advantage and ultimately increase enterprise value. We look forward to working with our customers to help them realise the value of the opportunity for their business.
Realistically most of the Businesses and Organisations we work with are some way from adopting generative AI, but the opportunities surfaced at the Snowflake Summit are still compelling. Through product announcements they are laser focused on reducing time to value for data platform investments, creating a flexible platform which can co-exist with existing technology platforms/team skillsets and break down data silos which still inhibit so many businesses from deriving value from their data.
Of course, as good as the Snowflake platform is, you still need a good partner to help you realise the true value of any investment in data.
